Your internet browser keeps a history of the websites you have looked at. This can be helpful if you need to return to a page you've already looked at. However, it also means that someone else can check the history and see where you have been online. To ensure your privacy, make sure to clear your history after you're done looking at our site.
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0
- Make sure you are not on the website you want to hide; choose a neutral site like www.google.com
- Select "Tools" from the top navigation menu
- Select "Internet Options..." from the dropdown menu
- Under the "General" tab click on the "Delete..." button
A pop-up window may appear giving you various options. Under "Temporary Internet Files" click on "Delete files..." A pop-up button may appear that asks you, "Are you sure you want to delete all temporary Internet Explorer files?"
Select "Yes"
- Within the same window click on the "Delete history..." button
A pop-up button may appear that asks you, "Are you sure you want Windows to delete your history of visited web sites?"
Select "Yes"
- Your internet browsing history is now deleted from Internet Explorer 7.0.
Or
If you are using Firefox
- Make sure you are not on the website you want to hide; choose a neutral site like www.google.com
- Select "Tools" from the top navigation menu
- Select "Options..." from the dropdown menu
- Under the "Privacy" tab click on the "Clear Now..." button
- A pop-up window may appear giving you various options. Ensure you have the following selected: "Browsing History" and "Cache". Then click on "Clear Private Data Now".
- Click "OK"
- Your internet browsing history is now deleted from Firefox
Or
If you are using Safari
- Make sure you are not on the website you want to hide; choose a neutral site like www.google.com
- Select "Edit" from the top navigation menu
- Select "Empty Cache..." from the dropdown menu. A window will pop up to ask you "Are you sure you want to empty the cache?" Click "Empty"
- Select "History" from the top navigation menu
- Select "Clear History" from the dropdown menu
- Your internet browsing history is now deleted from Safari
