An Introduction to Family Violence: Empowering participants to recognize and effectively respond to family violence in their workplace and communities

• When: Monday, November 3 (1 - 2:30pm)

This introductory workshop is ideal for service providers and front-line agency staff who want to better understand the basics of family violence, or would like a refresher.

Participants will examine the types of violence, discuss the roles of power and coercive control, recognize barriers to support, and gain skills to more effectively respond to disclosures. Information on community resources will also be shared.

A tour of our centre is offered after the training to anyone who wishes to participate!
